LandEconics is a resource website for landscaping companies that want to create flourishing landscapes that are both within the budget of a company and long lasting. This was a collaboration project, where I took an existing design and converted it into a WordPress blog. Design by Doug Nelson.
A Masonry company located in Wilmington, NC.
I created the design in photoshop and converted it into a WordPress website, using a blank theme. The website was designed to scale down for mobile devices, and features slideshows and lightbox galleries that also scale and realign for mobile devices.
Since many of the pages contain many images, I installed a lazy loader to decrease load time. Pictures only load when they’ve passed into the viewport, so the user doesn’t have to wait as long to see the page.

They noticed that my portfolio was responsive, so they hired me to convert a .PSD file they gave me into a responsive splash page that they needed while they worked on the rest of their website, and it was completed for them the next day.

This was a collaboration project. I worked on the Buy a Signed Copy page, the events page and plugin, and the buy online drop down menu on the Beyond the Bear page. I also created various graphics for facebook events that are displayed below in the Graphic Design section.
KKLC is a daycare located in Hampstead, NC. It was the first website I was ever paid to build, and it was a good learning experience while I was studying in college. The kids were fun and wanted to play while I was there.
The website consists of static pages that were built from scratch.

Dan Bigley: Beyond the Bear
Dan Bigley is a grizzly bear attack survivor, motivational speaker, and author of Beyond the Bear. I helped him with this website and also made these promotional graphics for him. The one on the far left are facebook banners for events. The others are for the book’s launch party.
When the Heart Has Something to Say: by George Pavlovich
Mr. Pavlovich is writing an e-book of lovely poems and needed some black and white clipart to go along with each poem. The illustrations were to be simple, with simple gradient shading. Made in Adobe Illustrator.
NSCIA Central Florida
NSCIA stands for National Spinal Cord Injury Association. I redid the Central Florida branches logo, because their original logo was very pixelated and too small. I also made a few flyers for them.
University of Central Florida’s STEAM Exhibition
The STEAM exhibition was a project participated in during my time at UCF. A designer was paired up with a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) student, and we learned about their research in order to create an informational poster that the public could understand. My partner was a civic engineer, and his research was about pervious pavements. Below is the illustration and a picture of my STEM partner and I at the UCF gallery that displayed our poster at the STEAM Exhibition.
